
Rich & Creamy Shrimp and Grits
Ingredients:
1 cup stone-ground grits
4 cups water or chicken broth
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
2 tosp butter
1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
1 tosp olive oil or butter
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 tsp paprika
Salt and pepper to taste
Optional: chopped green onions or crumbled bacon for garnish
Cook grits in water or broth according to package instructions until thick and creamy.
Stir in cheese and butter. Season to taste.
In a skillet, heat oil or butter and sauté garlic until fragrant.
Add shrimp, paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook 3-4 minutes until pink.
Spoon cheesy grits into bowls and top with shrimp.
Garnish with green onions and bacon.
